Dr. Anderson-Cowell completed her medical school in Syracuse, New York, in 1988. She always had a strong interest in understanding the immune system and how HIV attacked a very specific part of the immune system. During this time, she was part of a team working to discover a cure for HIV and was involved in basic science research.
Dr. Anderson-Cowell attended Yale University School of Medicine, where she completed a fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology in 1995. She was an Associate Research Scientist there in the department of Cell Biology. Dr. Anderson-Cowell has focused on Allergy and Clinical Immunology throughout her career.
She and her husband live in Portland, Oregon, with their two beautiful children. She has practiced with AADA since 1998 and continues to enjoy taking care of patients with allergic and Immunologic diseases.
In her free time, Dr. Anderson-Cowell enjoys attending her children's sports activities, oil painting, writing, and going for long walks with her dog Lola.
Tyler grew up in Portland, OR and developed a desire to serve others through medicine in high school when he had the opportunity to go on a medical trip to Rabi, Fiji. He attended Walla Walla University and graduated with a degree in Health Science. While completing his undergraduate degree, he worked several jobs, including working as a fitness center manager and medical scribe for a Dermatology PA.
After receiving his Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at Kettering College in Dayton, OH, he decided to return to the beautiful Pacific Northwest to practice. Tyler is passionate about advocating for his patients and ensuring that each person feels listened to. Along with his wife and dog, Tyler enjoys the countless outdoor opportunities offered in the area and loves following sports especially his local Blazers, Seahawks, and Ducks.
